1. Introduction
Competitaurus ("we", "our") is operated by Quassum MB, registered in Lithuania. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our automated SEO content service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
Name, email address and profile image when you sign in with a magic link or Google. Billing is handled by Polar; we receive your subscription status and customer identifier but never your full card details.
2.2 Website and Business Information
The website URL you connect, the pages we crawl from it, and the business profile, writing guidelines, internal links, competitors and topics you enter or approve. This information is used to research and write content for your website.
2.3 Integration Credentials
Credentials you provide to publish to your content management system (for example application passwords, access tokens or API keys). They are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, used only to publish and verify content, and deleted when you disconnect the integration or close your account.
2.4 Google Search Console Data
If you connect Google Search Console we request read-only access (the webmasters.readonly scope) and store daily clicks, impressions, click-through rate and position, plus your top queries and pages. We do not write to your Search Console property. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account or your settings.
2.5 Generated Content
Articles, images and infographics generated for your website, together with their status, edits and publication history.
2.6 Usage Information
Log data (IP address, browser, pages visited), product analytics and support messages. We use privacy-respecting analytics on the marketing site, plus Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) conversion measurement so we know which ads bring customers. For that measurement we send Meta the pages you visit, your IP address and browser, Meta's own cookies, and, when you sign up or start a trial, a hashed form of your email address and account id. Visitors in Europe are asked for consent before any of this runs; you can withdraw it by clearing the mkt_consent cookie. We do not show ads on this site.
2.7 Contact and Lead Forms
Website URLs entered on our landing pages and messages sent through our contact form.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To research your business and write, publish and verify content for your website.
- To place and monitor links between participating customers' websites when you opt in to the backlink network. Other customers see your website URL and article titles only as the destination of links; they do not see your account details.
- To report performance and send you review reminders, publication notices and account emails.
- To process payments and prevent fraud through Polar.
- To improve the Service, including by reviewing generated content quality.
- To send marketing emails, which you can opt out of at any time.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share information with service providers who help us operate the Service: AI model providers (article and image generation), web research providers (crawling and search), email delivery, payment processing, hosting and analytics. Each provider receives only what it needs. Content sent to AI providers is not used by them to train models under our agreements.
Articles you approve are published on your website, our hosted blog or your RSS feed and therefore become public. Links placed through the backlink network are public by nature.
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Data Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest for credentials, access controls limited to what each role needs, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure; notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
6. Data Retention
Account and content data are retained while your account is active and for 30 days after closure. Integration credentials are deleted immediately on disconnection. Billing records are retained as required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Email [email protected] to exercise these rights; we respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For EU residents, the supervisory authority is the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania.
8. International Transfers
We are based in Lithuania and use providers in the European Union and the United States. Transfers outside the EU are covered by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
10. AI and Automated Processing
Content is generated by artificial intelligence using your business information and public web sources. Decisions about which search terms to target and which links to place are automated but can be overridden by you in the dashboard at any time. No automated decision we make has legal effects on you.
11. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication, a small number of analytics cookies on the marketing site, and, with consent where the law requires it, Meta and Google advertising cookies that measure ad conversions. You can block cookies in your browser; the dashboard requires the authentication cookie to work.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy and will notify you by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.
